Class Information
Classes held at The Body Firm.

Class time: 11:30 AM

Class description: You will be led through a thorough warm-up and toning portion through drills, which will make you stronger, more flexible, and more familiar with the movements you will learn in class. Next is the "Cardio Shimmy" portion of class where you will be led through a variety of shimmy drills, layering and general dance combinations. Everyone will receive individual attention; and proper posture and technique are emphasized to prevent risk of injury.

Please wear comfortable clothing, which allows you to move freely. Some students prefer to "dress the part," to help get them in the mood to move! All you need is a supportive top that shows as much (or as little!) of your belly as you are comfortable with, and either yoga or other comfortable, loose pants or a long skirt! Hip scarves and belts will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. A veil is not necessary, but students wishing to work with a veil are encouraged to bring one (you can substitute a beach sarong or any fabric that is 2 1/2 to 3 yards long)- I also have a few loaners.

The most important thing to remember to bring is yourself!! Come join in the fun - remember, ANYBODY can have fun learning to bellydance. There is no set age or size limit. Even professional dancers come in all shapes, sizes and ages!! See you there!!
